After an extensive search in conjunction with the Troon corporate office, Blackstone Country Club is excited to announce Andreas Kappenhagen as the new Food & Beverage Director, responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of this part of the club. Andreas believes in fostering a culture of service excellence through a participative, hands-on management style, and plans to take exceptional care of the members at Blackstone Country Club.
Andreas is a native of Germany and he began his career in Bavaria, where he received his diploma from the Steigenberger Hotel School. He moved to the United States in 1991 and became Director of Restaurants & Bars at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, IL. Following that Andreas transitioned to the West Coast and spent time as the Food & Beverage Director at La Quinta Resort & Club, Miramonte Resort & Spa, and Viceroy Hotel. In 2005 he moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to become the Director of Service at SASSI Ristorante, and in 2008 accepted his most recent position as Assistant Clubhouse Manager at Paradise Valley Country Club. He is currently pursuing his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation from the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA), which recognizes the unique skills and special knowledge required of today’s club manager.
