VISTANCIA BRINGS CELEBRITY FOOD TRUCKS AS SEEN ON FOOD NETWORK AND COOKING CHANNEL TO FIFTH ANNUAL FOOD TRUCK EXPERIENCE ON MARCH 19

Vistancia is hosting its Fifth Annual Vistancia Food Truck Experience event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 19, featuring food trucks appearing on Food Network’s ‘Great Food Truck Race” and Cooking Channel’s “Eat St.” This year’s event will feature a selection of ten of the Valley’s top gourmet food trucks.

An exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Food Network’s “Great Food Truck Race” Season 6 Finalist Spice It Up food truck will be offered in addition to samples of their celebrated chicken tikka misala dish. The event also features gourmet samples from Waffle Love, another Food Network “Great Food Truck Race” contestant and LA Roots, as seen on Cooking Channel’s “Eat St.” Vistancia is teaming up with St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance to help fight hunger throughout the Valley. St. Mary’s Food Bank donation boxes will be located at each new home neighborhood and event visitors are urged to bring non-perishable items.

The 5th Annual Vistancia Food Truck Experience is free and open to public. The gourmet food truck event begins at the Vistancia Information Center, 12026 W. Lone Mountain Parkway in Peoria, where visitors will receive a community map, a passport for free food truck samples and can enter to win a $250 Sprouts gift card and additional raffle prizes.

Gourmet food trucks will be located at Vistancia’s builder model home neighborhoods by Ashton Woods, David Weekley Homes, Mattamy Homes, Meritage Homes, Shea Homes and Toll Brothers. The full food truck lineup includes Panini People, Kruzin Cuizine, Mustache Pretzels, Pour Jo Coffee, Aioli Burger, Dough Mama Woodfired Pizza, Waffle Love, LA Roots and Spice It Up. Food truck samples will range from all natural gyros and pitas, falafel sliders, fresh authentic Mexican cuisine, wood-fired pizza, paninis, gourmet waffles, mustache pretzels and made-to-order lattes.

Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia will offer private Clubhouse tours and gourmet dessert items including carrot cake cupcakes and salted caramel ice cream from Executive Chef Steven Duarte, visitors can also enter for a chance to win a foursome of golf at the award-winning Jim Engh designed private golf course.
