September Vistancia Community Events

At Vistancia, we think it’s important to build up a genuine sense of community among all that live here, allowing people to get to know their neighbors and to feel like they’re at home every time they pull into the community. In order to help all of our residents to connect, Vistancia offers a wide range of events for every family member, and they run year-round. As the weather finally starts to cool off and people are back from their vacations, these events can be an important way for neighbors old and new to catch up with one another. In addition, those looking for a new home or want to show their friends and family what it’s like to live in Vistancia can attend builder events such as grand openings and many more Vistancia community events.

As you can imagine, September is a busy month in the Vistancia community. School is back in session, summer breaks are over, and everyone’s getting back home and into the swing of their normal lives. Vistancia has some exciting events in store in the month of September! Vistancia residents can enjoy great food and good company at some of the community events, or there’s even the grand opening of new builder neighborhoods in The Village at Vistancia which are open to the public for all to enjoy. Below are a few of the Vistancia community events available in the month of September.

September 8th : David Weekley Homes – Sunset Ridge in The Village at Vistancia Grand Opening

If you already live in the Vistancia area, you’re probably familiar with David Weekley Homes. A long-time builder in Vistancia, David Weekley Homes is currently building in the private Blackstone at Vistancia golf course community. They are one of the largest homebuilders in the country, a frequent award winner and known for their innovative designs and fantastic amenities. If you’re looking for a new home in the area or just want to see what the builder has up its sleeve, going to the grand opening can be a great way to view the new homesites and floorplans they have to offer.

The new Sunset Ridge neighborhood offers floorplans that are sure to delight potential homebuyers and established neighbors alike. Whether you live in Vistancia or want to become a future resident, viewing the new model and neighborhood is a great way to figure out not only where you want to move, but also a great way to consider what upgrades you might want in your own home. The grand opening of their model is on September 8th from 10 am to 6 pm, so make sure to mark it on your calendar.

September 13th: Thirst Thursday

If you are a Vistancia resident and are looking for a great way to spend time with your friends and neighbors while enjoying a few drinks and some great refreshments, there’s no better place to be than at the Association Office on September 13th from 6-8 pm. This BYOB is a quarterly tradition, one that’s a great way to get to know everyone else who lives in the area.

Be aware that this is of the Vistancia community events that does require an RSVP, and that you will be required to bring along your own beverages of choice. Refreshments and great music will be provided, as will some fantastic company. This is definitely a great event for residents who are looking to get out and mingle in a very friendly atmosphere.

September 18th : Storytime

Vistancia community events from the MOMS Club of Vistancia is back after a summer break. If you are a resident of The Village at Vistancia with little ones who are still at the right age to enjoy a story, this event is a can’t miss. Not only will your kids get to listen to a fantastic story read by one of their own neighbors, but there are also crafts and snacks available to make this a great outing. A perfect event for young ones and parents alike, it’s a good chance for your kids to further experience the joy of reading right in their own neighborhood.

This event will be held from 10 – 11 am and doesn’t require any registration, but it’s still a good idea to show up on time. Storytime is a fantastic chance for your child to really experience the joy of storytelling. Your family won’t want to miss out on this one!

September 20th : Food Truck Night

Food trucks are a fantastic way to try out trendy foods without having to wait for a restaurant reservation. Food Truck night is always a hit, especially among those who are gastronomically adventurous. Located in the MVC parking lot from 5-8 pm, Vistancia residents will have a chance to try out some of the best food in the Valley without having to find a table. This is definitely one of those events for which you should bring an empty stomach – the food is so good that you’ll want to try more than one truck.

A list of trucks will become available in early September, but keep this one marked on your calendar. A good mix of Valley favorites and a few surprises will help to give your taste buds a bit of an adventure while ensuring that you’ll go home with a full stomach when the event is over.

September 29th : Survivor Down Under

Are you ready to take on a real Survivor challenge? If so, as a resident of The Village at Vistancia you will love the Survivor Challenge which takes place on the lawn of the Mountain Vista Club from 5-8 pm. Teams of four will compete in a series of puzzles, obstacles, and other challenges to take home the grand prize. There’s a $10 entry fee per team, with winners receiving tickets to the Out of Africa Safari Park.

Even if you’re not ready to participate in the event, it can be a lot of fun to watch. Consider it a live-action version of one of your favorite reality shows, one that stars many of your friends and neighbors. Whether you’re looking to get into the challenges or you just want to cheer others on from the sidelines, this is an event that cannot be missed. Even teams require four members and all members must be above six years of age to participate.

September’s Vistancia community events have something for everyone, whether you are a Vistancia resident looking to find something for you and your family to do, or you are someone who is looking for a new home in the area.
