2018 Proposed Bond Initiative

On May 24, 2018, the PUSD Governing Board called for a bond election for $189M on November 6th. The proposed bond, if approved by voters, would keep the bond tax rate at or below $1.60 and covers six core areas of funding throughout PUSD, including:

  • Facility Modernization and Site Improvements – Existing school upgrades and safety
  • Growth – Purchase of land and new construction of one high school and construction of a new facility for Peoria Traditional School
  • Technology – Equipment replacement and systems upgrades
  • Arts Education – Equipment for theater, dance, strings, orchestra, visual arts, band and choir
  • Career & Technical Education – Existing high school facility and equipment upgrades
  • Student Transportation – Replacement and activity buses for student transportation
