Backway to Crown King

The Backway to Crown King Trail is definitely one for the hiking “connoisseur”. At 26.3 miles, it’s long enough for a marathon but still tough even when hiking. It’s rated as challenging by even experienced hikers, largely due to both the length and the changing terrain. This route is also a favorite of off-road enthusiasts. Hikers can spend the night camping in the historic Crown King and do it all over again on the way back. Dogs are allowed, both on and off-leash.

Wild Burro Trail

Beardsley Trail

Beardsley Trail is 8.6 miles long and is rated as a moderate trail by hikers. It’s full of scenic views but low on shade, so make sure to bring water. Dogs are allowed, but keep them on a leash due to the prevalence of horses in the area.
